An introduction to font-mapping

Last updated: January 9, 2016

When you import an icon font into Iconjar the app automatically searches for an .ijmap file that has the same name as your font. The .ijmap file is optional but it contains information about the icons in the font in order to properly name the icons. If your font doesn’t have an .ijmap file you’ll see the unicode numbers as icon name.

We can use your help

We would love to receive some help from the icon community. Please email your .ijmap file to dev@geticonjar.com if you would love to add it to our list of .ijmap supported list.
